By supporting companies, foundations and institutions that help people which are in need, GOCA has learned a lot about our society and realized the social responsibility it has. Therefore, evolving from a company that made charity work into one that really works for the future of our community.
It started by visiting the “Buena Madre” home, and giving out presents for the girls during the Holiday Season day.
We organized a posada (typical party held at Christmas) for 3 different welfare homes in the city of Pachuca. It included transportation from their homes and back, food and presents, but most of all bringing these girls together so they could have a good time. All of this was made possible by volunteer work of people who became interested in the same cause.
Organizing a successful fund raiser for Grupo Quetzal A.C. which helps low income people with cancer.
We have also worked with the ITESM’s campus in Hidalgo, for CRECE CAMP 2008, in which a 2 week workshop was given to special children.
We supported several reading contests for children from ages 6 to 11 in different communities having a very good response from them….and we intend to keep working.
This year our main goal is to participate with 3 libraries in the State of Hidalgo promoting its cultural heritage.
We would not have been able to do all of this without the help of all the people who are committed to the cause and hope for a better future.
Because we worry about the well being of our community, and our works demonstrate that, we are open to participate in new projects.
